With such compelling upsides to deploying the IntrinsiQ platform, you’re sure to have questions, like “why hasn’t anyone told me this before”. Whilst we haven’t trained the platform for that question, we can share some questions others have asked:
What is invoice over-charging?
Invoice over-charging occurs when your invoice contains fees and charges that are not in line with your supplier contract which result in you being invoiced for more than you should be. Your supplier contract typically comprises a rate card, fee schedule and fuel levy. Many contracts also include aggregation rules including allowances, discounts and rebates. Over-charging also occurs when these rules are not properly applied to your invoice.
Why so many invoicing errors?
The generally accepted error rate in transport invoices is 8-10%. There are many reasons for such a high error rate in transport industry invoices including; incorrect application of the rate card, allowances not being factored correctly, fees and fuel charges being applied incorrectly and even rounding errors. Root causes of this systemic industry-wide problem include lack of data standardisation between supplies and systems and data-entry errors.
Can you validate fuel & other fees?
We apply a 4-way validation process to reconcile up to 100% of transport invoices. This method spans 1) Freight components, 2) Fuel, 3.) Fees and 4) Other Allowances. In addition to validation of these 4 components of transport invoices, in many instances we are also able to predict the root cause of the invoice anomaly. For instance, use of an incorrect cubic factor (333 v 250), or incorrect transport method (Express vs Standard).
How do I know if I need it?
